LABORATORIES
De Nora has for a long time been developing advanced analytical facilities and research centers. Our expertise pioneers new products through sophisticated chemical analysis and functional properties evaluation to help maintain the highest product quality standards. The analytical laboratories equipped with numerous technological instruments are able to cover a wide range of the chemical and physical properties of products:
- Laboratory resources to model anode and cathode coatings to predict lifetime or examine effects of impurities or additives and different operative conditions.
- Laboratory resources to prototype new cell designs and processes for Membrane chlor-alkali, hypochlorite disinfection, electrochemical organic destruction.
- Laboratory equipped for prototyping of new cells and industrial processes.
- Laboratory instruments such as FEA (analysis of finite element) and three-dimensional models.
- Physical, chemical, morphological and structural analysis equipments are available on all the centers such as confocal stereo laser microscopes, scanning electron microscopes (SEM) also coupled with focus ion beam system (FIB), energy dispersive x-ray analyzers (EDAX) and other elemental analyzers (i.e. electron probe micro analyzer), x-ray spectrofluorometers (XRF), x-ray diffractometers (XRD), photophysical spectroscopes (UV-Vis, Raman), gas and high performances liquid chromatographs (GS and HPLC), total organic carbons analyzers (TOC), inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometers (ICP-ES) and atomic absorption spectrometers (AAS), thermo gravimetric analyzers and calorimeters (TGA, DTA, DSC), particle size analyzers (PSA), gas and liquid permeabilimeters and porosimeters (BET, CFP, Gurley), electro-analytical and electrochemical equipments (galvanostats and potentiostats), frequency response analyzers (FRA) for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), dynamometers and hardness meters and many other.
